Well, i just took the windsheilds out of my 1970 Chevelle and the cowl metal is allmost completely gone. It is really bad, and it goes as far down as the molded in vents, where some of the cross supports are rotted through. It is strange because this and the rear window are about the only places that have rust on the car. Anyway, I was wondering if there are any companys that make a reproduction cowl piece, and if there aren't, are there any members that have a good cowl piece for sale. Thanks very much.

Sounds like your going to have to brush up on your metal fabrication skills for the cowl job, but the trunk filler panel is in the repo cataloges. Be prepared for more work than you originally thought. Good Luck

GoodMark industries has the cowl piece for 66-67 but it isn't transferable to other year's. I have spent a lot of time searching for the same part's for a 68 and they don't exist for now but GoodMark has intention's... Of course it will be after we have all made our own parts.
The front lower section can be rebuilt with painstaking effort. I will be sending my 68 to a body guy who does custom fabrication (special show car's etc...) and he'll be working that for me. He can do it easily enough (for him) and figures that it will be a couple of days to mold up pieces and weld everything in.
Look very carefully at the structural support in between the back of the dash, firewall and cowl. This all connect's at the cowl in a T shape. If the lower, inner section to the firewall is also rotted badly then you will have to get section's made up to repair that whole are. This is a structural point in the body so it's pretty important. There are many alternatives too. It all depends on what you want to do with the car such as Resto, Drag, Pure Race etc...
I will have mine repaired but then I will be installing a cage (Nascar Style) with cross bracing under the dash which also goes forward through the firewall connecting to the forward frame etc... The structural issue is something I don't have to worry about.
Hope it helps.
