What is the factory black dash paint # or a replacement, I am ready to paint the dash in my '66 SS Chevelle and I need to know what factory paint # they used. I tried my local paint shop and they said there were different shades of black.....Bob Loong40@infinet.com

Your dash should be painted 60% gloss.

Area infront of padded dash to windshield is "suede" or flattened for non glare, 60% is good but I beleive what really happened is as these were single stage paints the dash and under trunk lid etc just did not get as much paint sprayed on as the exterior body hence the 60% look FWIW
