First, yes I did a search first. I want to confirm that stripes were optional. I can't find, or looking in the wrong place, any indication on my build sheet that stripes came on my 1970 El Camino.

If it did, I want to make sure they are the correct color. The original color of the car was Mist Green Metalic, so I'm guessing either Black or White would look good.

One other possibility I'm considering is Ghost Stripes, assuming stripes didn't originally come on the car. I've seen this done on a couple cars and it's pretty slick.

Yes the stripes were an option on the domed SS hood but if you order the Cowl Induction hood the stripes and hood pins were part of the CI option.

Look in Box 44 on the build sheet. Under 'ST' it will have 'W' if your car had white stripes, 'B' for black or '-' for none.

None it is. Works for me. I'm glad in a way with so many "SS" cars running around with stripes. Of course how many real SS's!

I would have an authentic documented SS with NO stripes, how cool can that be.
