Hey guys my friend might be able to get be a good deal on a procharger that was in his buddies truck. It was in a 98 chevy with a 454. My question is will this bolt up to an older 454? I know the super charger will work, but I am just wondering if the braket will work?

I'm sure the bracket will bolt up but the kit for the 98 is probably set up to run off of the serpintine accessory drive. Typically on an older engine you are going to use a dedicated drive with a v-belt for the accessories. The new style bracket may not allow you to do this.

thanks for the help. I wonder if I put an aftermarket serpentine pully setup on there if it would work.

change the SC pulley to a vbelt one?

get a serpentine setup from a newer 454. the serpentine has a lot more holding power as compared to a v-belt.
