Hello:

I just joined. Regarding a 1965 Malibu SS Convertible.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket firm that offers new replacement:

Front Fenders
Hood
Trunk

If so, please list firm.

Respectfully. Sausage

WELCOME to the best Chevelle site on this planet!

As far as I know, nobody is repopping 65 stock style hoods, deck lids, or fenders out of metal.
You can get fiberglass from www.up22.com/chevelle64.htm
I heard talk of 65 fenders being reproduced, thats about it.
Personaly, I wouldn't buy them if they are or were going to be made.
The fit is usually lousy, and body lines won't line up for beans.
Been there done that on a 68 Firebird.
Finding good clean used sheet metal is getting harder, but not imposible.
IMO thats the way to go.

Check out www.true-connections.com they are very helpful.
Plus post a want ad in the classifieds here on this site.

Used parts is the way to go. From experience, it is the opinion of this author that aftermarket parts are mostly garbage. They lack detail/ qualtity/ durability/same guage metal as the old.

You will find all that you will ever need between the following places:

http://www.goodmarkindustries.com/retailcars.htm ( This one is a link of repop distributors but several sell used parts)

ALSO: Theres an original hood on e-bay right now:

Did Goodmark give you the information in a legal binding contract? I have had a Goodmark part that is out already, but have heard "new stamping machine retooling "to "it will be here anyday now." After 3 months and 15 days, I chose not to wait and tracked down a used part. Maybe your patient more than I, perhaps they will come through.

I hear several people on this site swear to Goodmark all the time. To me they make o.k. parts that I settle for in a restoration when I can't get originals or used parts.

Kick a used or an original door and a goodmark door with the same psi. Money says the goodmark door dents first. Why, Thinner guage. Look at the upper corners of a goodmark door. No holes for the two screw wedge or enough holes for the door rubber. Hole for door knob not large enough for the door knob sleeve. I can go on and on, I am not here to bash Goodmark. But I fear as time goes on, thats all well have, not to mention the guy in China who rides a bike to work everyday who has never seen a Chevelle.
