In my haste to install my new motor, I failed to check the picture and it seems as though I've swapped the heater hoses and mounted them to the wrong inlets.
I'd rather not drain the fluid now for the swap, unless I'm causing harm to the system - any comments?
I'm thinking the downside is that I am be getting heat in the car when I don't want it.

I doubt it would make any difference to run the coolant through the heater core one way versus the other way.

how did you do that since the heater lines take two different size hoses for fool proof installation

Engineer - Never underestimate a fool. I'm not sure how I did it - But the core leaks so it's coming off anyway.....2nd time should be a charm!

Getting heat all the time on a 67 does not have to do with the hoses, the coolant flows through the core all the time. Heat is controlled by a damper in the door. As long as you have it apart, make sure the damp is free to move and close fully and that will stop the heat.

Thanks Zeke - I bought the gasket kit and core from our sponsor - so I should have the whole box nice and tight.

It can be done if you have the wrong fittings on the engine.
