i usually go to atlanta dragway. i went 2 silver dollar raceway down past macon once, but it just seems 2 far. it kinda sux that i only have 2 choices 4 a 1/4 mile track!! i guess 1/8 mile is better than nothing, haha, but i have not been 2 southeastern yet. how is it? i sure wish they had drag racing at atlanta motor speedway!! that would be perfect!! argh!!

One time that issue came up as a hot topic with the authority body at the speedway ,but has lost steam ! I haven't been to southeastern before ,But maybe Bill has!Maybe we can go over to the new Summit store and watch the work continue.Now we're talking excitement!!!!!

From McDonough, Reynolds and Commerce are almost the same distance. I know, TC member "joespanova" lives in McD and has made the trips many times. ;)
Dallas...the track's really a peice of crap facility...owned by the Hardy's. But, the racing is always good and the track generally hooks.
Come on out...there will be a couple of Chevelle's hanging out. What do you use for tires? I've got a set of ET Streets you can borrow... :waving:

I've only been in the show one time, but my Chevelle was in primer then. I plan on going this coming weekend on the 15th, it will be my first car show with the new paint.

Heard they had a good turnout, but NO WAY am I getting into that mess. It's bad enough having to work around all the traffic, and shuttle busses. I will steer clear again this coming weekend. Always heard that Tanger Outlet show is good, but never been to it.

Been thinking about driving the '70 down on Sat for the Tangers cruise. We usually do the Riverstone one on the third Sat but may be due for a change of scenery. ;)
Last Sat at Dallas was OK, I guess. Me, my bro-in-law Dana, and Newby hung out.
The track was a little green from all the rain the previous 24 hrs and prep wasn't the greatest considering it wasn't a points night event. Best run of the night was a 6.55 @107.2 with a 1.50 60'. :(
Got dogged by a couple of Super Pro guys running that night...my little ol' footbrake pig was running quicker than they were. :D

Crap! Just found out I might have 2 go 2 Tennessee this weekend 2 see the IN-LAWS!! this sux. oh well, sorry i will miss Tanger. my car is in primer anyway, so i would have just been a spectator.

On a flip note, i saw a SAWEET '70 this morning right across the street from the McDonough police station!! i think it was a blue SS with a black top.

actually Elijay had according to the one fellow I talked to the worst turnout in thie history. I was unimpressed and won't return for it next year.

Now I am just looking forward to the Oct 29 Acworth Cruisin on main street. I always have fun there.

my car is in primer anyway, so i would have just been a spectator.
