Several years ago, I saw a 69 SS-396 Chevelle in the Altoona PA. Area, with a front air dam. The car was sweet, and sounded heathy. It had a Front "Air Dam" looked like a 69 Z-28 part or maybe a Buick GSX part. Since most cars today have a front air dam, could there be a bennifit to it ?
Anybody here ever try one ?

I have seen guys install the GSX air dam on Chevelles. I don't care for that look, personally, but I think it's a pretty easy bolt in deal if that's what you like. Pretty sure Year One sells them, and Poston Buick does for sure. I have been thinking about building an air dam for functional aerodynamics on my '70 Chevelle 'cause I'd like to run the Silver State Challenge one of these says (years). Still think they look better the way they came out of the factory http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Great to hear some are thinking of running venues like the Silver State Challenge. We all love drag racing, but that's not for everyone.
We are building our '69 Elke to run at the SCTA events at Edwards AFB, and/or Mirage Dry Lake (Then complete the body work/paint).
We have noticed in recent months that the car mags are showing more of the Silver State/SCTA type of events.
I believe we have 3 different association type of events here in Nevada.
Anyone want to chime in on this post?
