My friends 98 Mustang GT has trouble turning over. It takes three or more key turns to get it started. I don't know that much about new cars. Could this be a problem with a starter?

Not positive on the variety of causes for a ford - but if it uses the high-pressure fuel pumps that could be it.

It's a FORD...anything else really need to be said?

I'd check fuel filter and pressure.

Do you mean that it cranks OK but doesn't start? Or it doesn't crank - starter is not able to spin the engine fast enough to start?
