Hello all. I have a 70 convertible I want to convert to power windows. I bought a used setup that included the motors, regulators, harness, and switches. My problem is, the guy doing the bodywork for me says the regulators for the rear windows won't fit in the quarters. He figures the convertibles were different in that area, and I would have to find rear power window regulators for a convertible. Does anyone know if this is the case? If so, can these regulators still be had, or is there an aftermarket work-around? Thanks!

I can't answer all your questions but I can tell you the regulators on the convertible are different than on the hard top cars. So your bodyguy is absolutely correct. Have you tried the hotrod suppliers I bet they have something that will fit. Let us know how you work it out.

Thanks. Will do. I think the regulators I got were from a hardtop of some sort.

It's the rear quarter glass that is different between a hardtop and a convertible.
The 1969 Chevelle power window regulators are one year only.
As is 68.
70-72 interchange. Along with the 70-72 Monte Carlo.
1969 LeMans and 1969 Chevelle are the same.
1968 Chevelle power front regulators are the same as 68-72 El Camino.

You will need to drill some holes for the rear regulators and for the wires to pass thru from under the back seat !
