how much space whould there be between an airbag and the top of the spring (with the airbag inside the spring and all the weight of the car on the spring)? it seems like i am riding purely on the airbag, my springs are the same ride-height as the airbag. Is this right? I have new springs coming but I am wondering if i would still use these airbags.

you are not riding on the airbag. the spring is holding the frame up.

What i mean is the airbag is taking up the entire space of the inside of the spring. If i push down on the rear of my car it barely goes down and is very stiff. I think its because the spring has no room to compress

That is the whole point of the air bag is to stiffen the suspension. Why are you using air bags? What was their intended purpose?

wasnt using any air in the bags. It still was stiff. But i think since the springs sagged so much it compressed the bags and made them stiff. I jsut installed new springs which raised the rear 1.5" but have yet to drive it. Ill take the airbags out if i need to. But i dont think all the weight is on the bags as much as before if that makes sense
