I'm looking for an economical disk brake/suspension upgrade...is there a donor vehicle(s) whose disk brakes and/or suspension would be compatible with my 64 malibu convertible...14 x 6 rims? Any suggestions appreciated!

I think I covered most of the options here:

Derek, my plan is to get a 94-96 9C1 donor, mostly for the motor and trans, but possibly for the brakes; however, upon reading your article "what's stopping you" it looks like:
1. I'll have bump-steer issues
2. My car will sit 3/4" lower
3. I'll have a wider turning radius
4. I'll have a slower turning ratio
5. I'll have a wider track-width
6. I'll need to go from 14" to 15" rims with adequate backspacing to
accomodate the wider track width.
7. Aftermarket upper control arms or offset cross shafts.
8. 89 camaro 1LE police pckg rotors to adapt to a 4 3/4" bolt circle (are
there 15" rallys out there with a 5" bolt circle?)
9. G-body tie-rod ends
10. Metric lug nuts.
Please let me know if I've interpreted the article correctly and if you have any other suggestions. Thanks!!!

Yup, that's it :)
I'm also putting a '95 9C1 LT1/4L60E in my car
FYI, late 95 and all 96 cars have 5/8" ball-joints rather than the earlier 9/16" ball-joints. They have a wider diameter base... the 9/16" need to be machined down, and I'm not sure the 5/8" can be machined that much or if they'll get too thin. Also, the '96 cars have OBD II electronics, so the conversion is a little more expensive.
