My wife's van makes the usual " low on power steering fluid" noise but its not low. The noise is worse when its cold and can be heard at idle, in park with the tires pointed straight, sometimes. Any ideas?

Years ago, they used to use good, reliable, Saginaw pumps.

WAY COMMON. Almost every Caravan either has made noise or will make noise. The best solution I found when I was at the dealer was to drain the fluid and re-fill it with P/S fluid, NOT the ATF it has in it now. Add 1 container of friction modifier as well (commonly called posi additive). Give it 10-20 miles to "burp" and it will be fine.
