What shades of black and silver are used on the 69 SS grilles. I'm sure it's not gloss, but is it semi-gloss, eggshell, flat or what? Also, do the front outside edges of the fins get the silver treatment like the Malibu or are they black as well?

I would also like to know which is correct. I have talked to two different people who have owned their Chevelle Super Sports since they were new. One has a black grill with silver tips and the other has a black grill with black tips. Both claim that their grills are original and unrestored. I painted mine black with black tips bacause I thought it was correct and I like it that way.
That's all I came to say,

The SS Chevelle had the black-out grill. All other models had a black-plastic grill with silver painted on the tips. I believe that the SS grill was just molded black plastic only and the Malibu and such had the tips painted.
