HELP! Is there a trick to removing the chrome pieces on the back of the rear window on a 65 El Camino? (see pic) My 65 El Camino (http://4msmya.homestead.com/files/yel_camino.jpg). I've got ot all off except for these 2 pieces.

Thanks for your help....

I don't have my manuals here, but I'm pretty sure they have projections cast as part of the piece. These are secured by stamped "nuts". Maybe have to get under headliner. Hard to explain. The pieces are "pot metal" chromed. I got some off a '65 in a junkyard years ago. I imagine they are pretty scarce nowadays, so be careful. Maybe somebody here has the assemnbly manual or body service manual with a diagram. Good Luck

You are going to need to peel back the headliner to expose the holes where the nuts are hiding as JJ,65 said.
