Ok, well, i got a th-400 trans the other day practically for free! I am pondering putting this behind my new 454 and putting it in my 71 chevelle. Right now i have a pretty well built th-350 (used to be behind a stout 402 motor) so would there be any advantage? Also, this is a daily driver so what are the gear ratio differences? Oh, and what is a fairly good price to have a trans inspected (i.e. condition it is in) or is there something i can check out myself? Thanks!
Oh, one last thing, about how much would it cost to go from a th-350 to a 400? (What all do i need besides: shortened driveshaft and t.v. cable) thanks for your time!
