I have them and it did not affect my ride at all except that it got rid of terrible wheel hop when smoking the tires. I have new rubber bushings in the lower and upper control arms, but the no-hop bars take the place of the bushings in the rear housing.

I used Lakewood anti-hop bars (actually, I think they were made by Mr. Gasket and then when they got bought out, they moved the line to Lakewood) back in the early 80's and they just eliminated the wheel hop. No other noticable changes that I can recall.

I also have the lakewood's, I think they helped stiffen the ride a little bit.

i have a set of the lakewood no hop bars on my 69 velle with a four speed, what i have notice is when i put them on the back of the car is sitting a little lower than if the no hop bars where not on,do'es any body notice that on their car,i have all new suspension bushings in place, i was thinking about getting a set of adj upper a arms and adjust as needed to raise the car to about right height and leave the no hop bars in place, any ideas? thanks bill

Adjustable upper arms won't significantly change your ride height whatsoever they will just change camber and toe in and toe out if you get the right arms.

how do'es this change camber along with toe in or out? I was thinking maybe i did'nt let the car sit before tightening the suspension bolts, they might be binding up. bill

Thats impossible. On a solid real axle, the toe and camber/caster is fixed when the axle tubes are welded to the diff housing. the only change in toe/camber that could occur is if the axle tubes deflect under loading or actually bend.
Adjustable UCAs allow you to adjust the pinion angle.. not Camber/toe/caster.

I think you are probably thinking of Upper A-arms on the front the vehicle., in which case you are correct, adjustable upper A-arms do enable caster/camber adjustments. Toe angle is set by the tierods though.

buy having auc i know the pinion angle will change but do'es that also change the rear of the car to sit down more? my question was do'es the rear of the car drop down when you put the no hop bars on and then putting the adj upper control arms on to raise the car back up a little in the rear. bill

Ya i am thinking of upper a arms because hot rod bill said upper a arm and as far as my car knowledge goes there are no upper a arms on a solid rear axle car. I assumed he was just talking about evening out the stance or something. I wasn't really sure why he said upper a arm but its what he said so thats what i applied my knowledge to.
