: Making re-pop wheel well trim fit

I really want to put the wheel well trim on my 70 elky, so i purchased a set(repops)

As I kind of expected, the holes don't line up, and the "kinks" to fit the body crease do not even come close to lining up.

How have other people managed to make this stuff fit?

I was thinking if i make a couple cuts in the trim at the "kink" points, i can probably bend it into place.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The ONLY way to make these things fit is to COMPLAIN to the vendor you bought them from!
They are NOT going to do anything about this problem untill we as a group complain enough to force them into making the manufacturer fix them.
I bought a set of 69 repops for my car that also arent even close. I have complained to the vendor and the manufacturer.
Everytime I get a chance I ask them "why are you selling something YOU know doesent fit"
That to me is false advertisment and a scam!
They just say "because there the only ones availble".
I say send them back and DEMAND a refund!!!

It's not easy getting NOS ones to fit. Takes some doing.
