I purchased a 65 SS Malibu, Ermine White about two years ago. The previous owner buffed the hood, which led to a long thin rough strip along the length of the hood. I think this is called "burning". I never use a buffer (never will - wax on, wax off), so I don't know how this happened. What can I do to fix it?

Paint it again.
