Never asked before, didn't have to worry about it. We're thinking about buying a Mustang... I know, I know, but Chevrolet really has nothing that impresses me right now and I've always liked the 2003-2004 Mustangs... We even ordered a Cobalt and didn't care for it once it came in. I don't know if anyone can run one, but I'd appreciate it!

If anyone can do this, please email me at rsmcken@charter.net

THANKS!

Is it a private seller, or dealer? If nobody else is buying, and it's sitting, have the seller buy the report up front. Make an agreement that if it's clean, hasn't been damaged, you'll pay for the Carfax when you buy the car. If there's a problem, you get to walk away from the whole deal no money out. If it's a dealer, make them include one regardless. They'll usually have an account with Carfax, and get them cheap. If they won't give you one, they're hiding something, walk away. :)

It's through a dealership. I emailed the dealer asking a few questions about the car. It's only 2 years old and been through 3 owners, I'd like to know why. Stuff like that throws red flags in my direction....

Yeah we passed on a 2005 Grand Caravan for the same reason. 2 owners since December 2004 with 21,000 miles. Could be a lot of reasons, many of which are totally innocent. Of course, it could be a lemon. It's never reported to Carfax as such unless it's bought back by the manufacturer.
