Anyone know how to fix the center vent from constantly falling down beside a book of matches wedged in the vent?

Does anyone have this problem?

I thought maybe someone might have a kit to tighten up the center ac vent.
Anybody?

Try taking the vent out of the hole, clean up the inside of the hole with alcohol and put the "fuzzy" side of black velcro with the adhesive on it on the top and bottom of the hole where the vent piece will contact it. It's thicker than the felt that came with the car originally. This worked great with mine!

I wasn't aware that the original vent came with flet.

I would not be surprised... I have a '69 center vent and it looks like there used to be "seals" on either side of the rotating vent bodies. Probably similiar for yours too.
