I have a leak into my trunk; it has a new weatherstrip and it seems to be doing it's job but at the position that the quarter extensions attatch there is water getting into the trunk. Someone said that the nuts that attatch the extension to the quarter should have a seal on them;is that so and where could they be purchased, I haven't seen them in any of the parts books that I have.

geguffey, the sealer used on the nuts is actually body caulk. You can get it in strip form or in the common tube for a caulking gun at any autobody retail shop.

There is also supposed to be a quarter panel extension gasket in there too.
