Looks nice! I like the vinyl tops on these cars. I know where there is an original heavy chevy burnt orange chevelle that's been sitting for years, robbed of most of it's parts but still has a rusted cowl hood in Ironwood MI, Ramme's Collision The black Heavy Chevy decals look nice on this color.

That's not bad! I have 71 that's the same color, more or less. It's faded pretty bad and it had a painted white top. The more I see of cars like this, the more I think about staying with the original color with SS stripes. That burnt orange looks great when it's not so faded like mine.

Looks good James. Not alot of 71 converts around. Is that the original brown interior and steering wheel? Also noticed rear window fan switch location, ours is next to the steering wheel. Many malibus didn't have that option.

Hi Johnnie. All of the interior is original, except for the front seat (recovered) and steering wheel. I found a four spoke that I dyed dark saddle. On the build sheet it says the car was a "color & trim" override. I guess the factory boys didn't think the dark saddle interior matched up to well with the burnt orange exterior. Anyway someone else wanted it this way...so I might just stick with the original look. Cheers!
