I've got a 97 Olds Aurora that has a check engine light on. Code is P1376, which decodes to "PCM Ground Circuit Fault". Trouble is, the solution calls for using a Tech 2 scantool, which I don't have. Based on reading the troubleshooting flow chart, it calls for checking the wiring harness at certain spots and reading the voltage. Based on reading this, I either have a PCM fault, a wiring harness fault, or a ground connection fault. Since the car has not been (severly) wrecked that I can see, I'm betting the wiring harness is OK, and I'm praying the PCM is OK. That leaves the quite possible chance that a ground connection is poor. Anyone out there with access to the schematics or wiring diagrams that can tell me where to look for a PCM ground connection to the body or engine? I'd like to check all the grounds and see if I can fix this before I have to shell out large $$$$ and take it to the dealer. MD Emissions won't pass the car with a check engine light on
