Bought a 66 convertable 4 speed with 427 decals all over it. Previous owner said he thought it was 396.Also pretty sure the car was automatic and converted to straight drive. Car was hit in left front. We are doing a frame off resto. When finished I am pretty sure it will be a SS clone, probably started out as a Malibu. Just trying to figure out what everything was originally.

In 66 you can tell by the VIN if it was.
