HELP!
I was wondering if anyone out there would know what the correct Spatter Paint color is for the trunk area of my car. If you don't know would anyone know where to look. Does GM have a listing for it anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
THANK YOU !

I think the correct color is black with turquoise. My 66 was built in May of 66 and that is the original color of the trunk. At some point the assembly plants switched over to gray and white but the timing varied with assembly plants. I put the gray and white back in mine because it was easier to find and easier to keep clean looking. The black and turquoise really shows the dust. Have you climbed in your trunk to see if you can spot any remaining original trunk splatter paint? I think that this is another area where it is personal preference unless you are going concours.

According to this old posting by Skip (http://www.chevelles.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/000443.html) the early 66s had grey/white and later 66s had black/aqua. This makes sense because the 65s got grey/white.

Thanks BOB, AND CARL.
My Chevelle was built in April of 66. I did actually climb into the trunk and look, it was hard to tell but it looked Aqua/black. Also the trunk was repaired at some point, and I just wanted to be sure . Thanks for your input, the info. was very helpful.

From the replies, it sounds like I bought the right stuff for my 67, black/aqua. I couldn't remember exactly but I recalled reading someplace about the correct usage.
