A BidPay money order works well for international purchases on eBay, at least from Canada to the US. BidPay is a Western Union service. The purchaser buys the money order on line and Western Union sends you a message that the money order is on the way.
It's also easy to register for PayPal. You might want to consider that.

Sell stuff to ausies all the time, highly recommended. JUST make sure not to skimp yourself on shipping, 1 pound makes a big difference in price. Make sure you get an exact quote first. Shouldn't be any problem at all, they are real easy to deal with

I've sold to AU as well, used paypal for payment. ALWAYS go to Post Office and confirm weight and shipping charges. Most of my stuff has went "ground" (by ship) and takes 6 weeks to get there. Small stuff is not that bad going by air. I've never had a problem with damage. I've also shipped to Japan, Okinawa, England, France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Sweden.

I always do airmail through the post office, the 6 week deal isn't worth it.

If the buyer wants to pay for it I agree, on light items there isn't that much difference, but he is shipping a manifold and air might get pricey.
