A wealth of information on how to transfer files and images from a variety of media through your computer can be found on the "recent columns" portion of James Coates column on www.chicagotribune.com. His columns on a variety of computer technology topics are dazzling. Enjoy!!!

I did not find what you speak of.

I see no James Coates as a columnist, much less a "recent columns" link...

And when you do a search for his name, you can find his articles, but you can not read them unless you "sign in".

Hi Mike, Enter "james coates" into the search box followed by the "chicagotribune" source box and click "GO". On the third item down you can click on "James Coates" name which will take you to a roster of recent columns in chronological order. I don't recall having signed in to get the full text of his columns (though this is not out of the realm of possibilities). Typically, I don't engage in "sign-in" sites unless they have been referred to me by a trusted source (If I had, I haven't received ANY contact from them for years). Our local paper, the Sacramento Bee prints his entire column in the Business section each Thursday and it's the FIRST thing I reach for (Oh, o.k., the second thing...) on those mornings. Highly informative would be a term I would use to describe his columns. It's not a waste of your time...

Good note here**
If you don't want to "sign in" and create yet another account on the web go to www.bugmenot.com and type in the site's address. They will give you a working spoof name and password for most sites.
