my wifes 1984 elcamino was recently hit in the front and finding good elky sheet metal in so. tx is not easy...what other gm models will fit(besides the malibu-already been down that road)no pun intended.also looking for doors. any info will be greatly appreciated :confused:

I have seen a couple of elcamino down here with different front clips you could find a montecarlo ss and use that front clip with some mod I have even seen an elky with an monty LS front clip the kind with the euro lights. I dont know about doors though

thanks, i'm looking at regal/gn stuff right now. does anybody know if monty doors will fit? or what doors will fit? any other suggestions on front sheetmetal? thanks for everybody's help.

my friend has one of those elco's, i think he told me any G-body front clip will fit them, not sure about the doors. he also told me its possible to put a 3rd gen camaro front end on them, not sure how difficult that would be.

There are a lot of late model guys over there who know their stuff.

I'm 'Fairly' certain however that the monte carlo, GN, etc etc front ends do not just bolt right onto the elcamino fronts... There are major fitment problems with the doors and front fenders.

The elkys you see that look like they have monte front ends, actually have a custom front end from Lauren Engineering- not a montecarlo one.
