when I took my trim off there was a calking of some sort around the studs and speed nuts, to prevent water from getting into the cab, can somebody suggest a calking or putty to use that will remain pliable and prevent leakage.

Hey Rudy,
I'm going to use flexible strip caulk. You can buy a sheet of it at an autobody supply place and make little donuts out of it.
