: Shaved or natural?

I am trying to kill some time while awaiting divine intervention in the search for a rear filler panel on my '66 4 door project, and while waiting have been taking some long looks at what I've done so far. In doing so, I realized tonight that it would be no more or less work to shave the emblems/trim as it would be to put them back. I've already got the holes in the rear tail light panel, rocker panels, and the "Malibu" on driver's side filled. That would just leave the trunk "Chevelle" script, passenger "Malibu," and fender flags. Wondering if you guys could help me with the pros/cons here. Part of me says it's a classic Chevy, keep it that way, and another part says clean it up a little. (The car is going to be a driver). I really like the look of Troy Trepanier's "Chicayne."

I put a new hood, front fenders and partial quarters and never "got around" to drilling holes before it went to paint. Years later, the only emblem I have are on the grill and the rear valance. I still like this look, very clean, especially in an era where there are few emblems on cars.

It really is nice to see one shaved every once in a while. I say take it off if that is what you want to do!

I only have the trunk script on my '70. That and the bowtie on the grill. I kinda want to put the Malibu 307 badges back on the car, just to mess with people's minds, but it looks great with limited badges.

I only have the grill "chevelle" and the "cowl induction" on the hood on mine.

When I was younger I liked the shaved look.(I didn't have cash for new emblems). But now I like to leave it all stock looking.Even though I am backhalfing my GTO and putting a cage in it,it will be as stock looking as I can get it.All the tags will be on it.As well as the wide rocker moldings the 67's had.

I prefer a nice little 'landing strip' myself.
