I just got the wiper motor working on my 70SS and I cant get the washer pump to pump water. The relay works fine and the motor drives the pump fine, but it wont suck any water from the reservoir. I took the endpiece of of the actual pump, and all the O-rings are in place and look to be in decent shape. Do I need to prime it somehow? Thanks for any help. Joe

You shouldn't have to prime it. You could try to hook a hose directly to the pump, stick in a bottle of water and hold the bottle above the pump. If it doesn't work when you do that, there's probably something wrong with the pump.

Also: Did you replace all the hoses? If they're old and hard, they won't seal good, and the pump will be sucking air.
