Hey,
My name is Carter, I'm 15, and I'm new to this forum. Ive got a 1970 2-dr chevelle that came with a 307. We got a 1995 454 (mark v) that came out of a motor home (we have a conversion kit that makes it where we can run a 4-barrel carb instead of fuel injected) and Im having trouble finding motor mounts & frame mounts for it. If anyone knew of some and where I could get them Id sure appreciate it. Thanks

Most motor mounts will mount to most small blocks and big blocks, even the 307. You could put 307 motor mounts on your 454 but they wont last all that long, they werent designed for the torque. Just about anywhere will sell big block motor mounts, just buy a set and take them with you to a wrecking yard. You should be able to find and old Chevelle or Elcamino you can take them off of, all are the same except the 307. They arent easy to take off though, trust me. Here is a link to True Connections they have a set for $59.

I talked to a machine shop and the gut said that the Mark V engines are reversed in that normally the rubber is on the engine but on the Mark V the rubber is on the frame mount and that you couldnt get just regular big block mounts, but he didnt tell me where I could get them or anything. He just said Id have to look around.

It came with motor maounts, I really only need frame mounts but will just a Mark V frame mount out of a motor home work on the chevelle, or would I need special ones?
