finding the moulding clips for the rear window moulding and the screws that replace the studs, on a 72 chevelle. Ive looked in all my books ( yr one, ground up, etc etc. ) but dont see the right clips. the ones that came off the car were long and narrow. I lost every clip ( rusted ). I replaced the rear window to trunk panel and need the studs that these clips latch on too. I know they make these replacement studs but cant find em in any catalog. And also cant find the right clips.. Thought id ask in here before I go in town and search every auto part store. any help would be appreciated

You won't find them at an autoparts store. If you have a local body/paint supply store in your area, try there. If not, try an auto glass co. Either one should have them. I know that Groundup also sells the clips, but I don't know if they have the studs.

Call a Camaro shop. They have the "Pin Studs" that you are looking for. They are small phillips head screws that have the correct head to accept the molding clip. The would also have the clips.

My body shop got the window clips in no problem. Box of 50 real cheap. As far a orig pin studs go, they ordered in a attachment made for welding them to rail but it wouldn't fit the narrow slot...ugh. Just ended up drilling and screwing the brackets in place, works fine.
