Wow that is really really nice. Never was a fan of those post 73 A-Body cars but this makes me rethink that opinion. WOW...the interior is just awesome and the Pontiac 455!!!!!!!!!!!!

If only it was a numbers matching car!!! What a shame.

Some of these numbers guys should look at this car and cars like it. To me this is what the hobby should be about. Something DIFFERENT, SOMETHING WELL BUILT. Something from which to take pride in your personal vision, creativity and your accomplishment. Clearly money went into this car but given the outcome....so what. How expensive could a Grand Am donor be????

Makes one wonder why Pontiac didn't built it. That is absolutely great looking. Wonder how difficult it was to match things up. Did the el camino and the chevelle 2 dr hardtop share doors etc? or was it like 72 where it shared with the wagon?
It looks better than any Laguna version el camino I ever saw. Wonder what price he is looking to get, I would not mind owning something like that myself.

I saw some pics a while back where a guy had done up a '70-72 Elco with a Buick Grand Sport front end. I don't remember the actual year of the Elco, but the GS was a '70. It was yellow and all done in faux GS paint and stripe trim.

Also saw a pic a very long time ago of a '66 Elco with a GTO front end.

You couldn't really see the fender-to-door transition in the pics of either car, but it is fun to imagine them as first-class jobs like the elco in this thread.

I remember an 70-72 Oldsmobile Cutlass done as an El Camino body style. Very convincing job. Was posted here several years ago.
