How difficult would it be to re-do the stripes on fresh paint? see this post for history. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/Forum29/HTML/001077.html
I'm going to request that the guy re-do them, and I was just trying to gather as much ammo as possible about re-masking scuffing, cost, time etc. so that I will have some idea of what I'm talking about if he refuses to correct them and actually using the stencil this time.
Any input from some of you guys that do painting would be greatly appriciated.
Also, what is your opinion on the stripes? I don't think they look too bad, I just don't think he used the stencil like we discussed.
I guess what I'm actually asking is can it be re-done without ruining the entire paint job? or should I just leave it alone and live with it.
Thanx,

Dwayne

It looks to me like they are too wide and on the hood they look too far down. I have painted many stripes on chevelles, & camaros and have used the kits and not used them. They are a good tool to have but it doesnt look like anyone used them on your car. It also could be the picture but I dont see the stripe between, looks like one big stripe. Statesville is a ways from Raleigh for my help, long drive. If you attemp to restripe i suggest a good block sanding and prime. Let the prime sit for a few days before blocking to paint. Those stripes like to pop through and show on the new paint job.

good luck
