I have a holley competiton fuel pump that is leaking oil out of two small holes on the top base of fuel pump. I understand these holes was to allow pressure or equalization in the fuel pump. Any one had this problem and is there a repair kit.
Only number on feel pump is a tag at the bottom 9265C, I have e-mail Holley with no response. My engine is 396-375 HP.
Thanks for your help.

This happened on my Holley pump and I took it apart and fixed it. There is a seal in the top half of the pump that falls out of place. The seal is small, like a valve stem seal. When I disassembled the pump I staked the seal back in place, reassembled everything and it has been fine ever since. No replacement parts were needed.

I knew before I clicked on this one that it was going to be a Holley pump. Its a mechanical pump correct? Mine did the same thing. Its quite common with those pumps. I went with and Edelbrock pump that is basically the same pump. I had no choice with my particular aplication and couldnt find the Holley part number listed anymore. I get the impression that it appears to me that they dont make this style pump any longer. Im not sure what the actual rebuild kit number is.

Thanks for the information, yes it is mechnical, it sounds like a easy fix.

I am bringing this old post back from the dead. I have an Edelbrock pump that is putting out oil from these holes. Is there a rebuild kit and is it worth it, or should I just go buy a new pump and be done with it??
Cheers

Get a carter street/strip pump that's a lot more reliable then the holley/edl pumps out there today IMHO.
I see post ater post of the holley/edl style pump failing and or leaking here in t/chevelle.
Carter sells street/street & strip/strip pumps so you should be able to find one that fits your requrements if your running a mech f/pump.
