What all needs to be removed from the back of the car (68) prior to lifting the body? Haven't done this before. I've searched the archives, so I have a pretty good idea how to procede, just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. Should I keep the doors on?

TIA, Kevin

Yenko, That's what I was double checking, wires & hoses and such. What needs to be disconnected?

Is it absolutely necessary to remove glass before lifting the body? What about doors?

The more you remove the better. You can leave the glass in if you want it just makes it heavier. You can also leave the doors on also.

Is it absolutely necessary to remove glass before lifting the body? What about doors? Well when i got the frame out from under my parts car, the only thing I left on the body was...the parts that were physically welded to the shell. I was able to then use an engine crane that I put through the back window opening and attached to the seatbelt anchors and jacked her up.

I know of nothing in the back end of the car that is connected to the frame. My frame stuck to the car and came up with it about 4 inches and then dropped back onto the tires. I raised the rear bumper area up my Chest (about 50inches) then jacked the front of the car up using a floor jack, and stacks of 1 x 8s that spanned across the tranny tunnel. The frame rolled out and then the fun started.
