I have seen an aftermarket power window kit that uses the stock window crank as the up/down switch. Can anyone remind me of who makes this product?
Thanks

Can anyone remind me of who makes this product? Thanks George Bliss Sep 23rd, 05, 3:21 PM It's hotronics, web site http://www.hotronicsproducts.com/ EWC-15 Spline for '50's and up GM for $99 each. I've been drooling over those for some time now for my 69 chevelle, but i havent been able to justify the money. If you install them, let us know how they work. George DUKEdevils36 Sep 24th, 05, 6:58 PM Wow i didnt even know they made such a thing. I may just have to get those for my 69 when i get the money. =) rianbechtold Sep 25th, 05, 9:10 PM I've seen them in a classic roadster and they are nice. However, make sure whoever gets in the car knows how to use them. The guy who had them said his neighbor broke the passenger one because he tried to roll it down. Goodluck! DUKEdevils36 Sep 25th, 05, 9:37 PM hahah oh man if one of my friends broke mine i would be so ****ed. id tie them up to my rear axle and drag them to school haha Chris R Sep 26th, 05, 1:50 AM I really couldnt blame someone for breaking it by trying to turn it if they are unaware it actually is power and not manual windows, its an honest mistake and who would really think they are power window when there is a manual crank if you dont show them first. I could totally picture getting one broken also because it looks like a manual window. I always wondered who made them also. I saw an old episode of Horsepower TV where Chuck was showing of someones nice classic show truck. It had the same style power windows using the manual crank to operate the windows. A very cool setup. |
