Have installed new body bushings in my 66 chevelle. Bought them from NPD. The metal sleave on the ones in the 2nd and 3rd positions(in the middle of the bucket seat and just to the front of the rear wheel) seem to be bottom out against the floors. I compared the sleaves to a couple of old rusty ones I took out and they are about 3/16" longer or taller. Guessing I should grind them down. Is this right or do I have something wrong. Also the lower rubber bushing doesn't want to fit up into the hole in the frame. Should I shave the rubber lip or try to readjust the upper nut or shift the body around? Thanks, Jim

We had to shave the middle bushings also since they wouldn't go in the hole either. Used a razor and everything went together good after that. Ours came from OPG.

Did you just shave off the little lip that goes into the hole in the frame? What about the metal speaves, did you have to shorten them? Thanks, Jim

We didn't have any problems with the sleeves. When shaving the bushing it was done on the portion that goes in the hole on the frame. It had to be done on both sides.
