: Carbonfiber. Where?

Fiberglass has been around for a long time, but where are the carbonfiber pieces?

I've seen CF on the Hondas etc. and the finish is super nice graemlins/thumbsup.gif Rolled corners, completely finished underneath. Lots of vendors who will make custom hoods and trunks for any vehicle, too. In fact, APC - which as a so-so reputation with some people - even has a carbon fiber hatch for the PT Cruiser. I guess the technology exists to do Chevelle doors also?

Hood, fenders, trunk, bumpers. Light weight, super strong, proven out-of-mold quality. Check out the ricer mags for vendors & costs (not outrageous).

Has this been investigated before? I have not seen even one part for the Chevelle.

Regards,
Steve

VFN fiberglass in IL can make CF copies of their 'glass parts. I have seen their C4 Corvette hood and it looks nice.

anybody know how much more VFN would charge for a CF hood as opposed to a FG hood?

That is the first CF OR fiberglass hood I have seen with a flapper. That is cool.
