Decided on U-Tech Paint becasue there's a dealer near me and well . . . its cheap and got great reviews :D

I plan on stripping down the body and filling it with Evercoat Rage Gold, then what?

What Primers and Paint should i use?
I was thinking a QT ofE380 Epoxy, then 1 gal 2k Filler, 460 Tintable Sealer, then a gal of 200 System - Acrylic Urethane Single Stage (Shadow Grey)

I probably will stick with a single stage to get the cost down (will probably repaint in 2-3 years)

Any works of advice before i jump in head first?

Your U-tech paint supplier should have all that info for you. If your sceptical of his answer, call the paint supplier directly.

Im going to Akzo Nobel directly, so i guess i'll kill two birds with one stone.

Just wondering if anyone used their paint and which primers/topcoats they used with success.

I've been playing with the Lesinol line of Akzo Nobel, lesinol is the mid grade system offered above U-tec. It sprays good. The only complaint is coverage on some colors-usually the colors you wouldn't expect to have problems with. I've been considering the Lesinol line for everything only for cost reasons, PPG and Dupont have been getting out of hand with pricing considering how much materials these complete body restos consume. $1500- $2k is easy to spend on premium materials nowadays. The Lesinol is good imo if you have a color that covers ok, if not you might as well by premium. From what I hear about U tech from the local shops is the single stage urethane and clears are excellent but the basecoat also has poor coverage on many colors. Bob

Just bought some paint - the sales rep was extremely helpful

$250 for a gal of Epoxy Primer, a gal of 2K Poly fill primer and a gallon of paint and all the harderners - etc.

Im a VERY happy costomer.

I'll post pics when i get it sprayed
