: Identify These Factory Rims

I believe this rim to be a factory rim. I was curious what they came on, what they're referred to, and what sizes they come in? My car came with three pretty plain rims, and this rim. Also the car had the Deluxe Wheel Cover option and the wheel covers came with. Is this used as a spare wheel? It's 14x6 I believe.
Thanks
mac762 Sep 17th, 05, 10:06 PM It's just a 14" chevy rally wheel. They came on loads of chevies. I think they even came with the Heavy Chevy Chevelles. They came on Novas, chevelles, elcos, cameros. The 14" size is a little small for chevelles in my opinion. The spare that came with my 80 Elcamino was black and the others were body color.

Would have this came stock as a spare, or would have GM just put it on because the covers were put over them, or would have someone stuck it on later?
Does anyone reproduce these in different sizes? I've seen the Weld Rodlite's. Are they similar?
Finally, does anyone have any pics of Chevelles (or even other vehicles) with these rims?
dirtrocker Sep 17th, 05, 10:53 PM Those were factory over the 70s , sure I threw alot of them away back in the day.
Had cars that came to me with them under hubcaps, but unsure if factory that way.
This is what they should look like http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHEVY-NOVA-CAMARO-CHEVELLE-RALLY-WHEELS-RIMS-14-INCH_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43954QQitemZ800097 0763QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

I thought I had seen something like that on a Camaro before. Can't remember what color this one was. Believe it is the same color as it is now, but I gave it a shot of chrome aluminum as well as the other ones. Actually, I wonder if they all weren't black. There is some black coming through one now. Anyone know?
dirtrocker Sep 18th, 05, 8:54 AM I "think" they came painted either argent or body color.
Also "think" I remember some I had that I'd sanded to repaint had sort of a edp black primer coat. That might be what U R seeing.

I've seen 14x6 and 14x7 sizes. I believe those were the only sizes made.
malibu man Sep 18th, 05, 12:34 PM Thanks for the pics. It was sooooo long ago when I painted these rims. I bet if I looked at the inside of the rims I could tell what color they were, as I painted just the outsides with tires already mounted (just for looks). I believe they were black. Kind of sad, I don't have any pics of the car when it was all together and untouched because I didn't have my digital camera then. Wish I would have some pics from when the engine compartment was original, and the interior wasn't torn out. I would like to turn the looks of this car back to original. Maybe not the chassis, but the engine compartment and interior would be nice.
I love the looks of these rims. Anyone have any good pics of them on Chevelles? Also, what are they worth a rim?
Based on your opinion, are the Weld Rodlites virtually identical, or are their differences?
BillK Sep 18th, 05, 5:18 PM My 71 Heavy Chevy had them, including the spare. I still have the spare ... never been on the road !
malibu man Sep 18th, 05, 5:56 PM Thanks Bill!
They're factory on the Heavy Chevy's, aren't they?
