: Numbers on firewall how to preserve them?

found some now I want to know what the factory used to write them on there so i can copy it then paint over it so that the next person can find them too, if its not me again ...

I would say to first take a picture of them first, and then go over it with somethng like a paint pen, etc..

Aren't those numbers done with a grease pencil at the factory?

Grease pencil available from resto houses. I bought yellow and white.

I was thinking grease marker but it came out paint pen.. :thumbsup:

Guess I am getting old (16..LOL)..

Why worry about the grease pencil marks under the hood and elsewhere on the car. Is it gonna hurt the value that much to not have them?

well it could since my cars an SS without documentation and one of them says 396 right above the tranny tunnel...
