I posted on here about a month ago asking for help on identifying and locating quarter extensions for my 1966 Chevelle 300 Series. Thank you to all that helped. I did manage to find one in the Ads on this site, but was slow to respond and someone else got them. I did find one one EBay, but I'm unsure if they're the right one. Can anyone tell me if the left/driver side on this auction is the correct one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=600033687&r=0&t=0&indexURL=1#ebayphotohosting

Methos, Yes, those are 66 rear tail light housings. I knew you'd find them for a decent deal if you looked around. It's hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like the drivers side is for a 300 and the passenger side is for a Malibu. I don't think the 300 uses the large tail light bezel that surrounds the lenses (I'm not talking about the small one that holds the tail light lenses in). The Malibu does use the large bezel, and needs the extra (4) holes. Does your 300 have the outer bezel?

My 300 series uses a small bezel. I did noticed the passenger side had extra holes and thought it might had been for a Malibu. However, the driver side seemed to be a match, so I decided to get it even if I don't need the extra quarter extension. Maybe I'll give to one of my father's friend's who seem to have Malibu, but I don't know what year. Thank you all for your help.

Sincerely,

Genaro
