I'm looking at buying a set of used '69 Z-28 valve covers to go on my sb 350. I have a '68 Chevelle.

I know the Z-28 was a 302; would the covers be interchangeable?

I'm trying to eliminate an oil leak at the rear of right side valve cover. Have stamped steel now, and thought the added stiffness of cast aluminum might help.

Anyone's thoughts? Thanks.

I have set of those, they are good quality covers that work fine on a 350.

ditto, if you have oil drippers then that's a plus.

Yes, they will fit.
ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL small block heads with the straight across bolt pattern for the valve covers will accept a valve cover from any small block head. The straight across bolt pattern began in 1960. So, you can literally put a 1985 valve cover on a 1960 head or vice versa. No problem.
