: Flies!!!!!
proform Sep 15th, 05, 6:14 PM Beautiful day out, mid 70's, sunny, mild breeze. The shop doors are open to enjoy the weather. Everything is peachy-keen except for the HUNDREDS OF FLIES THAT ARE BUZZING MY HEAD as I type this.   (O.K., not Hundreds, but it feels like it.)
What is the best way to trap, kill, or whatever these little Bas**rds. I've about worn out the flyswatter....and they are Pi**ing me off.
I have one of those fly strips about 3 feet from my head, as well as one of those jars that is suppose to catch them. I think they just laugh at them as they fly right by.
John_Muha Sep 15th, 05, 6:19 PM Hate the things. I keep a Rescue trap hanging on one of the trees. Available from Home Depot. It usually takes about 2 days to start working.

sudolg Sep 15th, 05, 6:25 PM Ask somebody familiar with the green flys in South Jersey. They have all types of traps for those suckers. The worst pest ever and they bite....
Payador Sep 15th, 05, 6:28 PM I was at a towing company in my area picking up a totaled car with my rollback, went inside and I see a big plastic ziploc bag hanging in the doorway that separates the lobby and the office. I couldnt help but ask wth is that for. The secretary tells me that one of the drivers was at a barn party out in the sticks and saw the same thing above all the windows, and doors, flies wont fly under a plastic bag filled half way with water.... I was like yeah right.. She said I thought the same thing, but it works, no flies have come in here since! So, I tried it at my shop.... No flies come into the office!! Give it a whirl, let me know if it works for you guys too!
saturnstyl Sep 15th, 05, 6:36 PM Take a shower, they should leave you alone for a day or so afterwards. ;)

Ditto this approach. First saw it at a bar in Mexico, works great, cheap and chemical free!
