What do i need to resto my fire wall? I got the motor and tranny out, brake booster is off, and it'll take about 5 minutes to get the wires out of the way.

So, my question is, what should I use to sand, and what should I use for paint? Should I put a rust inhibitor under the paint? Whjat exactly is the procedure here? Thanks for you time. All opinions are appreciated.

On my 72 I used por 15, but the first time some brake fluid got spilled on it the stuff lifted. I also have some rust working its way under the por at the edges of the cowl and the rad support. I would not recommend using the stuff on the firewall. I don't know if Eastwood's product would be any better in that application. On the 70 I'm going to finish it with the same paint I'm using on the body. BC/CC You could use a good quality primer with a semi gloss paint over it if you want that original look.

I use simple green degreaser to clean my firewall, rinse off real well, let it dry,if it needs any seam sealer repair I buy the fast and firm seam sealer from my local body shop supply, comes in caulking gun tubes, smooth out with a paint brush with a little laquer thinner, let dry real well, mask off entire car, ruff up with a scotch brite, then spray paint with Eastwoods underhood black.
