I tried to sell my hood at the Super Chevy Show in Indy. I asked $175 for it, there was a guy a couple of booths down that had one that was literally covered in surface rust, so much that when I lifted it up, it sounded like it was full of sand. Also , it was lacking to louvers which mine have. He wanted $100. Anyway, the only offer I got was $35. Anyway, I just wanted to vent. If anyones interested, I will take $125.

Ewwwwww. that is disheartining. I have a 1969 SS396 original hood. Dent free, minimal rust underneath. I am hoping that it would bring more than that, otherwise, I'll cut a hole in it for the tunnel ram :-(

Good luck

I have a 69 malibu hood in excellent condition (new paint 89 vette red) but it has a hole cut out for the tunnel ram and 2 4's that were on the car before I changed to a single 4. There is chrome trim that was added around the hole and it looks excellent. The hood is on my car now but will be replaced with an SS hood. That hood is being worked on since it has a dent and needs to be sanded and painted. If your SS hood is in better condition, I might be willing to work a trade.

If that's all you can get for it, I feel like a sucker becasue I paid $300.00 for a 69 SS hood in about the same condition as yours.
