Malibu 2-dr sport coupe, V8 (no size, just V8 or 6), built in Baltimore, and the 2,922nd 67 Chevelle built there.

The body plate on the firewall will tell you the body date, probably late August or early September by the VIN, the interior trim color and seat type, exterior paint color, and body broadcast sheet number (if you're lucky in that they may have stuffed it in or behind the seat, otherwise the number is worthless at this point).

09C is body assembly date of Sept, 3rd week.
13617 is a Malibu trim level.
Body number 1263 is a number assigned by Fisher Body for the particular series/model.
763 is black bucket seat interior.
GG is paint color for Granada Gold.
Other numbers are simply numbers matching other paperwork.

Only if you are lucky enough to find a build sheet.

The transmission should also have a partial VIN stamped on it; something like 7B102922 along with a date something like P7M and a 2-digit day number (01...31). Rear ends were not stamped with a partial VIN but the casting number and stamped suffix code and date will at least verify it's within a valid time for the car.
